Hope you all are having a wonderful holiday this month! We have some very great things coming,as mention, but things are taking a bit longer than expected to get it all done!
We are sharing our photo gallery now with our sister partner,DOOLWeb.net . Our exclusive CMA fest photos and whatnot will be there…
We also wanted to post that we are very excited to see this new storyline coming up with Will. If some of you haven’t heard,Will is going to be coming out of the closet as confirmed by Entertainment Weekly and Michael Fairman.
“In the midst of persistent speculation, and seemingly some brakes put on along the way, it has now been confirmed byDays of our Lives that it is indeed Will Horton (Chandler Masseey) that will be revealed as another gay character on the canvas, following Freddie Smith (Sonny) who joined the show this past summer.
EW.com released this statement from Chandler Massey, about Will’s upcoming coming out story: “I’m thrilled to be able to portray my character in an empowering way that will show his struggle to accept who he is. It is my hope that this storyline will inspire others to be true to themselves as well.”
“DAYS Co-Executive Producer, Greg Meng explained, “Will’s sexual orientation will become obvious to the viewers as well as family and friends but his journey toward self-acceptance is expected to unfold over the next few weeks, the show says. We are excited to have the encouragement and support from both NBC and Sony to tell the inspiring story of a young man learning who he is as he defines and creates his relationships with others.”
(thanks to Doolweb for this excerpt of the interview.)
Also we have got news to share. Shawn Christian, who plays Daniel, will go on a short hiatus starting in 2012. We have unconfirmed reports that he also will be re-signing his contract, but we haven’t gotten that officially confirmed yet.
UPDATE!
Bryan Dattilo is BACK to the show! This is VERY exciting news! According to About.com:
Bryan R. Dattilo is indeed returning to Days of Our Lives as Lucas Horton. Set side sources confirm that the actor began taping his first scenes on December 5.
Last week, Soap Opera Digest reported that Dattilo was spotted at the show’s Burbank studios. Obviously, he wasn’t just there for a random visit.Dattilo originally joined the Days cast in 1993 and remained with the show until 2001. He returned from 2002 to 2010. This will mark his third stint on the soap.
